Every February, Parnassus features some of the many couples in our school. This year, we’ve compiled a list containing a couple from each class, a crossover couple, a faculty couple, a bromance and a womance. Read below to find out more about some of our favorite DCHS couples.

 

Freshman couple: Braydn Gleason and Maddie Brown

How long have you been together?

Braydn: 4 months

Maddie: 4 months

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Braydn: My favorite thing about her is her personality

Maddie: My favorite thing about Bradyn is how much he cares about me and my family

How did you meet? 

Braydn: We have been in the same grade forever but we got close because she was friends with my sister

Maddie: We’ve been in the same grade forever, but we got close because I was friends with his sister, Reagan

Where was your first date?

Braydn:  semi formal dance

Maddie: The semi-formal dance

What is one word you would use to describe your partner?

Braydn: amazing

Maddie: sweet

 

Sophomore couple: Asher Wilson and Eydie Bruestle

How long have you been together?

Asher: Almost 2 months

Eydie: Since December 10th

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Asher: How energetic and happy she is

Eydie: No specific thing really, he’s amazing, but I’ll say how kind and funny he is

How did you meet? 

Asher: swimming 

Eydie: I met him at my first swim conditioning practice

Where was your first date?

Asher: My house

Eydie: I don’t know if you’d qualify it as a date, but I hung out at his house just a bit after we started talking

What is one word you would use to describe your partner?

Asher: Bubbly

Eydie: Imperfectly perfect or gentleman

 

Junior couple: Sam and Adisyn

How long have you been together?

Sam: 10 months

Adisyn: 10 months

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Sam: Her work ethic is outstanding and she still makes time for everything

Adisyn: His compassion and our mutual love for racing

How did you meet? 

Sam: School and mutual friends from the racetrack

Sam: Kokomo Speedway

Adisyn: Kokomo Speedway

What is one word you would use to describe your partner?

Sam: Outstanding

Adisyn: Caring

 

Senior couple: Zane and Gianna

How long have you been together?

Zane: 1 year and 3 months

Gianna: 1 year and 3 months

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Zane: She always finds a way to make me smile

Gianna: My favorite thing about Zane is that he’s always my best friend and will make me laugh no matter what

How did you meet? 

Zane: We sat next to each other in class and just started talking

Gianna: We met in our 2nd hour class, animal science, junior year

Where was your first date?

Zane: We went on a double date to the pumpkin patch. First date by ourselves was supposed to be to a haunted house but it didn’t go as planned.

Gianna: Exploration Acres

What is one word you would use to describe your partner?

Zane: Amazing

Gianna: Determined

 

Crossover couple: Brasen Starbuck and Makenzy Miller

How long have you been together?

Brasen: 1 year 2 months

Makenzy: a little over a year

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Brasen: her personality

Makenzy: how his humor matches mine

How did you meet? 

Brasen: through Lexi Miller

Makenzy: He added me on snap through Lexi’s story

Where was your first date?

Brasen: Christmas lights

Makenzy: To see Christmas lights

What is one word you would use to describe your partner?

Brasen: Beautiful

Makenzy: Funny

 

Bromance: Jackson Harter and Michael Waymire

What was your first impression of each other?

Jackson: My first impression of Michael was that we liked the same stuff, we lived in the same small town so it was easy to hangout, and that he was a funny dude

Michael: He seemed pretty funny and likable too

How long have you been friends?

Jackson: We’ve been best buds since 7th grade

Michael: Been best buds since 7th grade

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Jackson: We both like trucks, joking around, doing dumb stuff, farming

Michael: He always tells me how he feels and doesn’t hold anything back

How did you meet?

Jackson: Mr. Gasser’s math class

Michael: Mr. Gassers 7th grade class that I failed out of

What is one word you would use to describe your friend?

Jackson: Awesome 

Michael: Ornery

 

Womance: Marine Proto and Elise Lagree

What was your first impression of each other?

Marine: She was nice and I was excited to meet her

Elise: I thought she was a weirdo

How long have you been friends?

Marine: 6 months

Elise: 6 months

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Marine: She is always here when I need and she’s full of energy, always here to laugh

Elise: She is always here for me, in every happy and hard time, she understands what I’m feeling.

How did you meet?

Marine: We were in OT, I heard that there was another foreign exchange student from france so when I saw her I spoke french and we stayed together

Elise: By chance in a small town in Indiana lol. We were in OT and Marine literally 

What is one word you would use to describe your friend?

Marine: Enthusiast

Elise: Energy perfect, crackhead

 

Teacher couple: Mr. and Mrs. Gaspar

How long have you been together?

Both: 9 years; married 6

 

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Mr. Gaspar: We are very laid back. So, we can have a lot of fun together, but also be patient with one another when needed.

Mrs. Gaspar: He loves me in spite of myself.

 

How did you meet?

Both: Coworkers

 

Where was your first date?

Both: Art Institute of Chicago

 

What is one word you would use to describe your partner?

Mr. Gaspar: Weird

Mrs. Gaspar: Goob
