Christmas Break Bucket List!

Christmas+Break+Bucket+List%21

Christmas break can be a substantial amount of time away from the safety of routine, so here is the (mostly) Ultimate (hopefully snowy) Christmas Break (in the form of a pretty short) Bucket List! This list was designed to give some ideas for a fun Christmas break that crosses off all of the must-haves, as well as some other possibilities! Make sure to comment how many you accomplish this Christmas Break!

Indoor Activities:

  • Baking Christmas cookies – The classic. Bake some Christmas cookies for yourself, or someone you know, and don’t forget to get creative with the icing!
  • Christmas decorations (ornaments) – Put up some Christmas decorations to the cheerful enjoyment of your favorite holiday tunes.
  • Christmas Movie Marathon – Endless number to watch (if you choose to include Hallmark Christmas movies), but make sure to cover the bases, such as; Elf, Home Alone, the Christmas classics (Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-nose Reindeer, Charlie Brown Christmas, etc.), the Santa Clauses, It’s a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, and so many more.
  • Gingerbread houses – Old school clash of creativity! Makes for a great competition, or decoration, depending on how you want it.
  • _______ by the fireplace – Do something by the fireplace, of course accompanied by Christmas music! Play a board game, read a book, watch a movie, etc.
  • Christmas parties – Celebrate the joys of the holidays with friends and family.
  • Christmas Dinner – Whatever that looks like in your household, always some great family time.
  • Wrapping presents – Hopefully it isn’t cram wrapping on Christmas Eve, but if you’re an adrenaline junky, maybe that’s what may be!
  • Visiting family – One of the best parts of the holidays, seeing family that you aren’t normally able to.
  • Christmas cards – Seasons greetings!
  • Matching pjs – Hopefully not cringey, but cringey is part of the tradition…

Outdoor Activities:

  • Sledding – Fingers nearly frozen, cheeks rosy from the wind, adrenaline rush falling from the speed down hill, just to realize you have to trudge back up the hill…
  • Christmas lights – illuminating houses with Christmas spirit!
  • Building a snowman – Maybe Frosty, maybe not.
  • Walking around downtown – All the shop decorations, holiday lights, bows and wreaths around the light poles, festive music faint in the background, and you’re coat feels all nice and cozy.
  • Go Ice Skating – Speed, style, or survival?
  • Going to Christmas Market – So many fun little decorations, confections, and more to add to your collection and memories.
  • Snowball fights – Hopefully it isn’t too icy!

Merry Christmas from Parnassus!
