Marlins pitcher found dead

Miami Marlins pitching sensation Jose Fernández was found dead in the early morning hours on Sept. 25.
Fernández was killed in a boating accident, where his boat had collided with a jetty off the shores of Miami Beach. Fernández and two others were found dead at approximately 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Fernádez had been an inspirational player and role model in the MLB for three years. He was well known and respected for his capabilities as a pitcher and also as a charismatic human. With a 38-17 win to loss ratio, he was a force to be reckoned with. The day after his death the team all wore jersey’s with number 16 on the back in memory of their lost friend. They went on to win the game 7-3 against the New York Mets.
