Dress to impress: Spring Break killin’ it

We’ve all been there: scrolling through Pintrest, seeing the cutest outfit, but questioning if it would look as good on you as it does on the model.  From the floral print romper to the floppy sun hat, we’ve all grovelled at the up and coming fashions.

Here are the essentials to try out on Spring Break- the perfect place to test run risky outfits, for if it flops, no one will ever know, except for maybe your annoying little brother and his 43 Instagram followers.

First of all, can we step back and appreciate the return of one piece swimsuits? We no longer have to choose between a wetsuit, or a bikini made up of three strings.  One piece’s have been quite popular this season, with a new twist to differentiate from the ones you wore when you played in the sprinkler in the back yard in 2003.  Trendy one pieces can help defeat the heat, while staying comfortable poolside.  I am equally pumped about the return of high waisted swim bottoms.  Who needs to waist time working on that spring break bod when everything can be hidden and still look on top of the game? High waisted bottoms are no less than heaven sent.

For the night out, or the shopping day, my suggestion would be to rock a romper and wedges.  A simple romper epitomizes impractical beauty. Things are looking up until suddenly you drank too much lemonade and your entire wardrobe must be dismembered in order to use the restroom successfully.  Complications aside, rompers are adorable on anyone who dares to test it and wedges just add to the look.  Wedges are what I consider heels for the clumsy; they are fool proof.

The last few accessories are a must.  Number 1) a nice pair of cheap sunglasses.  Number 2) a wide brimmed hat for any occasion (may be counterproductive in a packed car or a long flight) and finally number 3) a good book.
