What IS the reason for Valentine’s Day? Is the purpose to spend your money on gigantic teddy bears, chocolates, and roses? Or is the most important aspect of this special holiday to spend time with the ones you love?  (Not that gigantic teddy bears, chocolates, and flowers aren’t good too.) Either way,  these six  high school couples must be doing something right, for they seem happier than ever. Eric Leahy, Shelby Bradshaw, Summer Sutton, Kyle Fehlberg, Landon Meek, Kalab Trapp, Caleb Bowlin, Alex Baldwin, Caleb Nelson, Megan Dyer, Wyatt Lucas and  Kyra Brown share with us some cute facts about their relationships.

Eric Leahy (senior) and Shelby Bradshaw (junior):
1: (E)- Probably about one month, and hopefully many more to come.
( S)- Not long enough to feel privileged to do this.
2: We met at a basketball game when we exchanged newspapers before the game started.
3: We went to the movies.
4: (E)- She doesn’t judge me when I do stupid stuff, and she puts a smile on my face every day.
(S)- He is really patient and funny…most of the time!

Kyle Fehlberg (senior) and Summer Sutton (senior)
1: 6 months
2:(K)- Last year when I was still going to school in Iowa.
(S)- At his house–I was there to babysit and he was visiting his dad.
3: We went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse and then to see The Dark Knight Rises.
4: (K)- How well we work together.
(S)- How nice he is to me.

Landon Meek (senior) and Kalab Trapp (senior)
1: 2 months
2: (L)- I’ve known her since middle school.
(K)- Since middle school, but we didn’t ever talk back then.
3: Our first date, though it was unofficial, was when we went to see the fall play, No News is Good News, at the high school.
4: (L)- She is so sweet. I can be myself around her; I don’t have to worry about trying to impress her.
(K)- He’s there. He is always there to support me.

Caleb Bowlin (senior) and Alex Baldwin (sophomore)
1: 2 months
2: On the bus
3: We went and looked at Christmas lights
4: (C)- She’s just great; she’s the best thing in the world.

Caleb Nelson (senior) and Megan Dyer (junior)
1: 1 month
2: In art class–well that’s when we got to know each other at least.
3: We went to go see the movie Haunted House and also to Steak n’ Shake.
4: (C)- She’s pretty and we share a lot of the same hobbies.
