The 2007 teen comedy, Superbad was a hit with the teenage demographic at the time. Gaining a massive cult following it was rated 4/5 stars. This movie is rated R as there is lots of innuendo and a couple scenes, just as a heads up, it’s not for everyone. Its humor is based largely on crude subjects and cuss words. If you want witty comedy, this isn’t it. That doesn’t mean it’s bad though. Two seniors, Seth, (Jonah Hill) and Evan, (Michael Cera), are trying to get with their respected girls, and they think the best way is to go to a party that they are going to, but to get in and gain the girls favors, they need to bring alcohol. To get said alcohol they need their kind-of-friend/punching bag, Fogell or “McLovin,” hijinks ensue. I personally love this movie. The humour may be crude, but is funny all the same. Whilst being a comedy, it does have a heartfelt message at the end. Overall I’d give it an 8/10.
