House M.D. is the 2004 Drama series about a doctor who does some questionable things to figure out puzzling cases. Created by David Shore and starring Hugh Laurie, season 1 of the show is 22 episodes with each episode about 40 minutes a piece. While it is quite a lengthy watch season never felt boring, using the famous walk-and-talk which was invented and used prominently in the series. Each episode usually goes in a similar formula, someone gets very sick or injured, House is then assigned to the case, House has to do clinic duty as well and that is the b plot. The c plot is something with his team, whether that be Cameron, Foreman, or Chase. They get treatment for the first sick/injured person. It doesn’t work and they get worse. Things look very bad and then the house notices a tiny detail that saves their life. In between all of that the b and c plot go along and usually resolve. While it is formulaic, it does have some overarching plots. I was surprised to find out there would be actual villains in the story other than their injuries/diseases, but there are. Season 1 of House was excellent and well worth the watch. I’m currently watching season 2 right now as it hooks you in. Overall I’d give it a 9/10.
