The time of year has come again to douse the town in the color purple and prepare for the upcoming Relay 4 Life. Delphi is hosting the event once again at it’s track on June 11. The theme for this year is Paint Your World Purple

Relay 4 Life is a fundraising walk that raises money for the American Cancer Society. These funds go toward the research to find a cure for the dreadful disease that has taken millions of lives and has affected even more than that.

Teams are in the process of setting up, so if you’re interested, look into joining a team or you can choose to just come to walk on your own that day. Delphi’s high school students have been active in the cause. The Delphi FFA chapter has been a long-time supporter of the cause and Interact, an up-and-coming club, has also joined in on the fight.

It only costs $10 to sign up and the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. To sign up, you can go online to relayforlife.org, click on Get Involved, Find an Event, and then search for Delphi, Indiana. Finally click Sign Up and fill out the information needed. If you so choose, you can sign up at the gate.
