Baseball: With the spring starting up and athletics moving back to the outdoors, we prepare for another year of Oracle baseball, led by seniors Kain Myer, Jacob Clouser, Dalton Briles, Weston Windell, and Carson Noonkester Delphi looks to improve off of the success from the first year of Ryan Long’s reign. After winning their first sectional game last season against Fountain Central, the Oracles ended up losing to 2A State Runner-Up Central Catholic. Delphi is currently 3-0 with a huge opening night victory over county rival Carroll 19-5. The boys are back in action on April 13 at home against North Miami at 5 pm.

Track and Field: With yet another season of Delphi track and field right around the corner, we look forward to seeing newly appointed head coach John Gasser in his second stint as the track and field head coach. A heavy senior class led by Ashley Webb, Abigail kender, Tony Morales, Chase Wilber, Sadie Jacobs, Bailey Gasser, Madi McSwain, and Blake Ragan look to lead the team to a successful season. The track team starts their season April 11 at 5 pm.

Boys’ Golf: We head to the greens where CJ Barngrover’s team of golfers look to have another triumphant year on the 18. In his fourth year with the program, CJ has seniors JR Dyer and Will Schwindler leading the charge for the Oracles. Delphi hits the links on April 11 at Edwood Glen Golf Course against the Frontier Falcons starting at 4:30 pm.
Girls’ Tennis: As for the girls’ tennis team, they are preparing for a new look as all varsity spots will be first time varsity players. With Elizabeth Fehrholz as the lone senior, they will be relying on a lot of the underclassmen to provide leadership. Coach Scott Gear, who is in his 12th year of coaching, will lead the Lady Oracles as they continue their season against Frankfort at Delphi starting on April 12.
