In his second consecutive year back in the head coaching position, Brian McCammon has begun to bring back the old junkyard mentality that Delphi basketball was once all about. After grabbing only four total victories all of last season, the Oracles have greatly improved and will have a good chance at finishing the regular season with a 10-12 record. Thus, easily doubling their win count from just a year ago. Delphi’s final test of the season will come at home against North White this Friday, Feb. 24. This will also be senior night for the Oracles.

As for the upcoming sectional located at Winamac High School, Delphi drew the Hawks of Hebron in their first round matchup and are set to play next Tuesday, Feb. 28. Hebron has had much success this season behind a senior-heavy squad and currently holds an impressive 16-5 regular season record. However, the Oracles are excited for the challenge. Delphi has won two of its last three games and is playing, arguably, its best basketball of the season. With a win over Hebron in the first round, Delphi would advance to play North Judson in the Friday night semi-final. North Judson was granted a first round bye and has a 4-17 regular season record.
