Cross Country

First year coach Mr. Clark inherits a team that lost a talented group of runners to graduation. Senior Mekenzie Gear returns after qualifying for regionals one year ago. The Burkhart sisters, Katlyn and Jessica, will also contribute to the squad. On the boys side, senior Noah Rider and sophomore Blake Ragan return experience for the Oracles.  Neither team, boys’ or girls, has enough to technically field a complete team.

Soccer

The girls’ soccer team comes into the season with a young but talented group of players. The Oracles will rely on sophomore Rylee Lane and top scorers from last season, Danielle Swayze and Whitney Goodman. Lane was an all Hoosier conference selection a year ago. The boys’ squad hopes to get over the bump that prevented them from raising the sectional trophy last year. They return 15 of 17 returning players from the sectional runner-up team. All-conference selections Kenny Zaldivar and Brayton Slifer look to carry the team.

Girls’ Golf

First year golf coach Dave Gilbert hopes to build a winning program out on the links. This year’s team does not return any varsity players from a year ago. Sophomore Krista Jones looks to lead the Oracles.

Volleyball

The volleyball team looks to get back to their winning ways of just a few seasons ago. To do that, they will rely on a solid group of juniors and seniors. Bryanna Calloni, Charlie Holliday, Myka Roth, Erika Carroll, and Morgan Crowel will try to carry the Oracles to a sectional championship.

Boys’ Tennis

The boys’ tennis team is geared up for another fun year on the tennis courts behind the coaching of Scott Gear and Gayle Conner. Seniors Josh Gillam, Elliott Atkinson, Adam Shanks and junior Colin Edging will help lead the team to victory. The tennis team will be helped out tremendously by foreign exchange student Vladimir Danicic. Vladimir has been playing tennis in his home country of Serbia for 9 years.

Football

The football team under the direction of Josh Strasser has improved every year since he became the head coach. The Oracles look to build on a 6-6 campaign that ended in the sectional final last season. The Oracles will turn to its seniors Adam Zink, Mason Lane, Mason Gray, Tyler Ross, Treavor Cox, Tucker Trapp, and Tyler Arion for leadership. Other key player include juniors Hunter Mote and Clint Rude and sophomores Weston Windell and Dylan Hart.
