Shane Gandee from Buckwild passed away last week

Shane Gandee of the new hit MTV show Buckwild was practically the star of the show. With a thick West Virginian accent, quick jokes, and really good dumb ideas, he was a fan favorite. Unfortunately, early monday morning on April 1, 2013, Shane Gandee was found dead in his vehicle with his uncle and a close friend.

He went missing after a late Sunday night at the bar with some friends. After friends and family noticed that he had not returned home early Sunday morning, they decided to go looking for him. According to USA Today, a friend of Gandee’s found him and the two others in Gandee’s 1984 Broncho back by where the cast of Buckwild normally go “mudding.”

The vehicle was found submerged in mud. Gandee was found on the driver side, and the driver side door was above the mud while the passenger side door was slightly submerged. The muffler was completely submerged in mud, causing the carbon monoxide poisoning. Gandee, his uncle, and friend were all found dead at the scene.

As for the show, it is still undecided as to whether or not it will air again. The second season has been postponed, and MTV is still deciding whether or not to go on without Shane.
