You may be wondering what to do for this spooky season since there are so many limitations due to COVID-19.  Several Halloween activities in Carroll County have been canceled to ensure your safety.  But, there’s good news!  There are still plenty of ways to celebrate the holiday this year, even under the circumstances we are in.

Carroll County’s mayor has approved trick-or-treating from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. on Halloween.  Of course, normally families enjoy going throughout not only their own, but other townships and communities to receive their share of candies.  However, this year it is not advised to do so, and you are asked to remain in your community for trick-or-treating.  It is also recommended that relatives stay together on Halloween night, and remain socially distant from others.  With these small requests, you will still have the opportunity to enjoy the festivities held near your town.

The Delphi United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Trunk or Treat festival, held at the DUMC on Oct. 31 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Every year, the church has several fun activities to do, along with chances to win candy and special prizes.  Several high schoolers are helping to run the fun, so make sure to stop by to join in on the fun, as well as to see all the amazing costumes!

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Hayride in Logansport is open every weekend in October from 7:00 to 11:00 just for you and your friends to be scared.  The hayride is a 30 minute ride through the woods, featuring figures along the way such as cemeteries, clowns, witches and zombies.  Don’t miss out on the chance to witness some scary things in those woods!

Edge of Insanity is a journey into a small farm, located in Kokomo, that has been converted into remnants of a once-operating asylum.  During the Halloween season, the asylum comes back to life to haunt those who return.  The Edge of Insanity will be open for you from 8:00p.m. to 12:00 a.m. each weekend in October, for all those who dare to take a step into the edge of insanity.

Streapers Nightmare, in Peru, is based at a Central Grade school that is transformed into a horrific adventure each year for its visitors.  If you have previously visited, this year will be an even greater experience.  They have revamped every setting to be more frightening for their guests.  Get ready to visit Streapers Nightmare without a doubt that you will be frightened.

Don’t get through this Halloween without attempting to attend such haunted events.  This is your chance to see how brave you truly are.
