My top ten Mitchell’s orders

As many of you may or may not know, I, Olivia Livingston, work at Mitchell’s Mexican Grill. I have been there for almost a year, and by this point I have the entire menu memorized by heart. I am usually not the person to ask for suggestions, because if you do happen to ask me, we might be there until past close. I do however have a “Top Ten Meals I Love to Order at my Favorite Tex-Mex Grill.”

10” CBR, side of queso and chips, and a medium cherry Pepsi.

This is a classic order for any new Mitchell’s customer, and in fact something that I regularly got when going on a Mitchell’s outing. The CBR is a chicken bacon ranch-which, that includes chip bits and is  wrapped up in a flour tortilla, and grilled on our press. The queso on the side, adds a little more cheese for my fellow cheese lovers, and the cherry Pepsi cuts the thick cheese flavor out of your mouth, so you can go on with your day, and not have to crave anymore Mitchell’s.

Pork Taco Combo, side of guac and chips, and a large cherry Mountain Dew.

Our new pork tacos are honestly to-die-for. Containing pork, cabbage, chipotle-ranch, and pico de gallo wrapped in a 6” flour tortilla these little guys will fill you up, especially because the combo comes with two, and the side of guac (or salsa/queso), and the large drink of your preference. I prefer the cherry Mountain Dew with mine, because the flavor packs a punch, without taking too much away from the tacos and the guacamole.

Veggie Incredibowl, side of queso and chips, and a strawberry and banana glacier.

The Incredibowl is a bowl from the Gods. Containing rice, shredded cheese, corn salsa, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and a sauce of your choice (I prefer either chipotle or chipotle-ranch). You can also get the ‘meatatarian’ with either beef or chicken, but I think it stands great with just the veggies. Queso on the side again for the cheese lovers, and a strawberry and banana glacier to brighten up your tastebuds a little more.

Spicy Chicken MitchiWrap, side of guac and chips, and a large sweet tea.

Our Spicy Mitchie Wrap is something I have added to my Top 10 recently, because it is something you can get if you love spicy food, or are feeling a little adventurous. You also have the option to make it less spicy by getting no jalapeños. This wrap has chicken, queso, medium sauce, jalapeños, tostada shell, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, all wrapped up in a 12” flour tortilla and grilled on our press. The guacamole helps your taste buds fight off the spice, and so does the large sweet tea.

Macho Nachos, side of beans and cheese, and a large vanilla root beer.

Our Macho Nachos live up to their name. The chips are piled high with beef, queso, beans, rice, sour cream, pico de gallo, jalapeños, and lettuce. I would get the beans and cheese for a side, because if you have any chips left after your nachos, you can use them to eat your beans and cheese. The large vanilla root beer is a sweet treat to the end of your hearty meal.

Chicken Chipotle Ranch Shake Up, a brownie, and a medium cherry Dr. Pepper.

The Chipotle Ranch Shake Up is such a great mix of ingredients that come together to have a party in your mouth. I prefer it with chicken, but you can have the veggie or beef as well. It also has black bean and corn salsa, shredded cheese, tomatoes, fresh chopped cilantro, chili cheese Fritos, and a side of chipotle ranch. You can get this healthier option with a brownie, because you already resisted enough cheat food for one day. Add the cherry to your Dr. Pepper for a little added flavor.

10” 3.B.Q. Quesadilla, side of salsa and chips, and a medium cherry Sierra Mist.

The 3.B.Q. quesadilla is one of my newest favorites out of the quesadilla family. It packs a punch with its cookout taste. A 10” tortilla filled with beef, or chicken, bacon, BBQ sauce, onion, and shredded cheese, folded in half and grilled on our press. Pair it with a side of salsa and chips to add the tomatoey goodness to your taste buds, and a cherry Sierra Mist to refresh your mouth.

10” Frito Burrito, side of queso and chips, and a medium Pepsi.

The Frito Burrito is such a great item to suggest because of its customizability. You have the choice of a 10” or 12” shell, then you have the choice of chicken or beef, choice of shredded, melted or queso cheese, and the type of sauce. I prefer: 10” shell, with beef, melted cheese, and chipotle sauce. This burrito also contains Fritos, and pico de gallo. Add a side of queso and chips for added health benefits, *wink, wink* and the Pepsi, for the classic flavor.

10” Bean Burrito deluxe, side of rice, and a medium strawberry lemonade.

Bean burritos are a pretty classic way to go. You have your refried beans, melted cheese, onions, and if you choose to deluxe it like I usually do, you will also have sour cream, tomatoes, and lettuce. This is a way to have a great meal if you want to try something besides a taco, but don’t want to go too far out of your comfort zone. Put a side of rice onto your order to get more carbs in your life, and a strawberry lemonade to sweeten up the whole meal.

10” Sriracha Chicken Melt, side of guac and chips, and a wildberry glacier.

The Sriracha Chicken Melt definitely leaves you full, and needing a glass of water. Although some may think the sauce isn’t too spicy, others may beg to differ, either way you will be satisfied after ordering this signature grilled item. It is filled with chicken, shredded cheese, chilli cheese Fritos, Spanish rice, sour cream, and FreshMex sriracha sauce. Have a side of guacamole and chips to put out the fire in your mouth, and a wildberry glacier to finish calming down the flames.

Although there are so many other options on our vast menu, these are some of my personal favorites. Hopefully this gives you some insight to the overwhelming options at Mitchell’s Mexican Grill, so the next time you go in you’ll have to try something a little out of your comfort zone. You won’t be disappointed.
