What’s the Student Section even Saying?

It’s a typical Friday night, the stands are swarmed with the students and the parents of the basketball players. Everyone seems to just be mumbling meaningless chants without really knowing what words are being projected out of their mouths. JR Dyer tries his best to inform the rest of the Oracle fans on the next chant, but everyone is too zoned in on the game and their buddies next to them to pay attention. Once the chants start, the questions spreads through the student section, “What are we supposed to be chanting now?” “What’s he saying?” and the chant dies out before it reaches the freshmen. Here are all the answers to your questions.

Defense Cheers:

“D, D, D, Defense”

“Defense, Defense”

Foul Chants:

“You can’t do that”

“You traveled, you walked, next time that you traveled it’ll be to the B. U. S.”

“Aye!” *throws arms up meaninglessly in the air*

“B.A.N.A.N.A.S.”

“Pack your suitcase”

Free Throws:

Our Team- “Two in a row… You know”

When shooting free throws – *shimmy*

Other Team- “Commode”

“You’re not gonna make it”

End of Game/ About to win:

“Warm up the bus.”

“I believe that we have won.”

Miscellaneous:

“We want Will”

“Here we go Oracles, here we go”

Always sing when Living on A Prayer is played!!
Best of luck for these following Fridays on keeping up with the many chants. Also, always remember, by mouthing watermelon it looks like you’re saying the same thing as everyone around you. See ya there! :)
