DCHS Drama Department performs Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women”
After many difficult weeks of memorizing lines, attempting to find costumes, and practicing without a couch, the hard work of thirteen students and one teacher will finally come to fruition. The DCHS production of Little Women is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 pm.
Little Women is the story of four sisters―Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March―and the experiences they go through as they attempt to navigate the choppy waters of transitioning from childhood to adulthood. There are funny moments and sad moments, guaranteed to send you on a roller-coaster ride of emotion.
The March girls are being played by junior Kristina Powlen (Meg), senior Bella McGill (Jo), freshman Megan Dunning (Beth), and junior Hannah McClesky (Amy).
“It’s a great play with lots of love declarations, rejection, savage quips, creepers, death, and good family values. In all seriousness, it’s been an awesome past few months, and I think everyone will enjoy the play,” said senior Cole Pearson (Laurie) who has been a part of several DCHS drama productions. Megan Dunning, a freshman who is performing in her first DCHS production, said, “I love meeting new friends with the same interest in theatre. I have met so many new people, and it has been a blast.”
Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the front office and at the door at both performances.
