13th annual BOB competition kicks off next week
The annual Battle of the Books competition between Delphi Community High School and Carroll Consolidated High School will officially kick off next week on Thursday, Oct. 13 during Oracle Time.
Battle of the Books, or BOB for short, is a friendly event where students from both schools read a total of ten books and compete for the infamous BOB Skillet. Teams of five students form to read the books and compete in mini-competitions (10 questions, a question from each book) from October to February for points. In the main Delphi competition, there are 130 questions to be answered, and the top two teams combine to face off against Carroll.
Last year’s winning teams, The Grand Finale and Books Like Girls went on to become #JoyForJoyce and take home the Skillet for the 10th year in a row.
Team entry forms are available in the LMC. The deadline is Oct. 12 in order to receive the ten books on Oct. 13! Come to the library next Thursday during OT and help DCHS bring home the skillet!
