Homecoming preview
Leaves are beginning to turn and fall sports are slowly coming to an end. For some this means to break out the knee-high boots and high-tail it to Starbucks for a pumpkin spice latte, but for DCHS it means homecoming. A week filled with thrilling spirit days, pretty pretty princesses, and preparation for the big game.
The Student Council has spiced up the spirit days this week in going a little bit of a different route with their choices. It’s Monday Madness so dress in your favorite team’s jersey! Spend Tuesday dreaming of your perfect vacay spot and dress to the occasion because it is Tourist Tuesday. Be daring and sport your grandpa’s old Hawaiian shirt! DCHS is getting a little whimsical on Wednesday which means you get to break out all those costumes catching dust in your closet. Thursday is the fan favorite Twin Day so pair up with your bestie! Friday is, of course, Spirit Day. Support your school and dress head-to-toe in black and gold!
Thursday’s news brought us seven stunning princesses. The underclassmen elected were Lillie Smith, freshman; and KateLynn Bennett, sophomore. Morgan Fritz was chosen as the junior participant. Madeline Hollingsworth, Emma Wise, Rylee Lane, and Emilee Gear are the nominated seniors in the running for homecoming queen.
This Friday your Delphi Oracles will face off against the North White Vikings. Come out and cheer on your hometown team! Plus enjoy all the homecoming festivities such as the golf cart decorating contest and the crowning of our homecoming queen.
