Delphi’s Foreign Exchange Student
This year, Delphi is blessed to be the host school of Michelle Perler from Switzerland. Though she comes from a different culture and background than many of the other students here, she has decided to spend the 2017 school year with us. Let’s make sure we give her a warm Oracle welcome; but in case you haven’t met her yet, here’s a little bit about her.

Who is your host family?
I live with the Knechtels (Elliot and Xander Brown).
What do you miss the most from home?
I miss my family and friends.
What do you like about America?
I like the school and the people.
What do you dislike about America?
I can’t answer this question yet.
Is America what you expected?
I came without any expectations.
What do you like to do for fun?
I play the saxophone.
Are there any interesting facts about yourself that you’d like to share?
- I’m afraid of fish
- My hometown is bilingual (French & German).
What is your favorite American food?
All I have tried so far was good, but I really like hot dogs.
What is your favorite food from home?
My favorite Swiss food is probably Spätzle or Fondue
What is the biggest difference between your home and America?
I think the landscape. In Switzerland we have a lot of mountains and here it’s just flat.
