You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown
At the beginning of February, the cast of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown met to read through the script for the first time. On Sunday, April 12, the cast took their final bows and said goodbye to their four amazing seniors: Jessyka Brown (Sally Brown), Tyler Fuller (Charlie Brown), Devlin McPherson (Pig Pen), and Noah Rider (Linus Van Pelt). Along with the four seniors, nine other students worked tirelessly for ten weeks in order to prepare for their shows on April 11 and 12.
“I am very pleased with the way the musical turned out! This particular group of students has been one of the most pleasant I have had the privilege to work with. It is very unusual to get a group to work so close and not have ‘drama in the drama!’ Not only did they all willingly dedicate time and talent, but they did it joyfully. They worked together to put on a great show that will forever be a favorite of mine!” said Kayla Haley, the director.
“Since the cast was so small this year, everyone was pretty close. We all had a lot of fun with everything. It was a funny musical, and we played games backstage. It was a great time, and I’m glad we gave the seniors a good memory to leave with,” Kate Layman (Lucy Van Pelt) stated. “We had a great crowd all three performances, and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to be a part of all of this.”
The drama department is looking forward to its next performance in the fall of next school year. As always, anyone is welcome to try out.
