
Cheer
The Oracle Cheer Squad is ready for another strong season. This year, they have a small team that is led by the upperclassmen, specifically captain Olivia Balicky. Coach Dowell feels confident this year, and stated that the team is completed with a good group of girls that are dedicated to the sport. She plans to pick up where they left off last year, and continue to improve on what they have learned. Coach Dowel would like to do at least one competition with this strong team, and states that she is very excited for a new year and to see what’s to come.
Football
The oracle football team is looking for a great season after their 6-4 season last year. This year they are being led by the senior captains Keygan Elliott, Kaydn Mcatee, and Logan Smith. Coach Mroczkiewicz says that he is very pleased with the team and how hard they have been working over the summer. Coach M states that he is ready to take back the Hoosier Heartland Conference. He plans to recycle ideas from last year but states that every year is different. Coach M states that he is excited for week 1 against BC and that he hopes Berto Field is full.
Girls Golf
The Girls Golf Team is being led by their senior captain Savannah Zahn. With only having one senior Coach Wells states that he wants her to guide the underclassmen this year to help them learn for the next years. Coach Wells states that he is excited for his new talent Allia Slaybaugh after seeing her come in strong showing her potential to be a top player. This year they are looking forward to being able to practice at a driving range to help them excel this season.
Soccer
The Oracle Soccer Team is building a new foundation, and starting from scratch for this new season. With team captains Ha’Den Holmes, Jorge Martinez, and Miranda Mendoza; this year our soccer team will be more focused on team dynamic & defense. Coach Micah decided to use more complex strategies, and to push our players to their highest physical efforts. Coach Micah feels optimistic this year; with both new & returning talent. He hopes to make it to sectionals this year, and for soccer to be taken more seriously in the school.
