Delphi has its first ever official all girl wrestling team. Captain, Katie Emerson, is this week’s highlighted athlete. At the girls home invitational Emerson placed 2nd overall stating that she knows she could’ve done better but was a good place to start. The girls team is off to a great start, especially under Emerson’s leadership as captain. After placing 2nd at semi-state last year, she is motivated to push herself to make it to state this year. Emerson shows a lot of promise for the upcoming season.
