Football
The football team is barreling towards a promising season as they are led by seniors Caleb Gotshell, Jaxon Brown, David Burkhart, Chris Hanawalt, Rebecca Kelly, Beau Tate, and Keigan Watts, as well as captains Walker Jones, Tripp Gochenour, and Joshua Hartley. Head coach, Coach Mrockiewicz, states that he is excited to build off of their conference record from last year. Coach M also stated that he is ready to right the wrongs from last season and is looking forward to their game this Friday against Benton Central.
Volleyball
Our Lady Oracle volleyball team is off to a great start, welcoming head coach, Coach Baldini. Coach Baldini stated that she was proud of the improvement she has already seen just from the summer to the girls scrimmage against Lewis Cass. The team’s leaders consist of seniors Maddy Brown, Jenna Roth, Hunter Tate, Kylynn Spitznagle, and Sophie Eli. The team is ready for their game against Faith Christian and can’t wait to see what the season has coming for them.
Cheer
The Lady Oracle cheerleaders are in high energy at the beginning of this season. The team has gained multiple new members and has grown exponentially in overall skill. Keltie Holt, senior and co-captain to sophomore Olivia Balicky, is the only returning senior on the team, but shows great promise as a leader and overall cheerleader. After a four day UCA camp over the summer, the girls are showing improved strength and spirit.
Cross Country
The cross country team already has a couple meets in the book, and are ready for more. Senior, Johnny Martinez, ran a great meet at Harrison and placed 10th overall. Johnny is accompanied by seniors Sarah Perry, Jayce Johnson, and Cheyenne Zahn and they look to keep improving and PR at their upcoming meets.
Soccer
The Oracle soccer team is led by Captains Braydon Fosbrink, Rebecca Kelly, and Analy Martinez. They kicked the season off in a game against Winiamc and are showing a lot of growth and improvement from last year. The seniors, Braydon Fosbrink, Rebecca Kelly, Solymar Cisneros, and Anthony Hernadez, look forward to helping the underclassmen improve their skills and just have fun overall.
Boys Tennis
Delphi Tennis started their season off in matches against Western Boone and Kokomo. Senior captains Braydn Gleason and Lakin Wakeman trudge head first into the season with seniors Lincoln Parks and Haden Helms. Gleason and Wakeman look to be a powerful duo the rest of the season.
Girls Golf
Girls Golf is starting off strong with two meets already played. Emma Titus, senior, placed first at their Green Acres meet against Carroll. Emma and her teammate Savannah Zahn (Junior) helped the team win their second meet against Benton Central, with Emma placing first overall and Savannah placing fifth. The Lady Oracles are building off of where they were last season and are looking to do well in sectionals.
Dance
The Oraclets are ecstatic to start their season of sideline dancing and competitions. The team has gained a few new members, making it bigger than it has been the last couple of years. Returning are seniors Cheyenne Zahn and Sarah Perry. During football season, the team is able to perform a variety of routines in preparation for their upcoming competition season this winter. The team also welcomes Coach Emma and returning coach Alexis Smith. The Oraclets are building towards a fantastic season.
