Bacon Bowl Outcome
Last Friday ended in a way no Oracle wanted to see. The Carroll Cougars came in with the mentality to win and that’s just what happened, as Delphi sadly lost with a final score of 33-7. The lone Delphi score resulted after Blake Carroll, sophomore, caught a pass for 47 yards to put the Oracles in the red zone, Weston Windell, senior, then ran for 9 yards to put up the one score of the night. Senior lineman, Brian Cunningham, said, “We needed to focus more on our own responsibilities, rather than what the opposing team was going to do.” With the Cougars winning the Bacon Bowl two years in a row now, Delphi can do nothing but continue on with their season and prepare for next year’s chance to bring back the skillet. This week the Oracles go over to Twin Lakes to face off against the Indians. The game will be played on Sept. 2 at 7:00 p.m.
