A.G.E.S. Variety Show
This Saturday, Sept. 19, there will be an all ages Variety Show in the Little Theatre at Delphi Community High School. Show times are at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Both shows will feature acts from all across the state.
The Variety Show is a fundraiser to raise money for Carroll Manor, an assisted living community. The money raised will be used to purchase an intercom system and to do some much-needed maintenance work.
Many different acts will be performed. Much singing and dancing can be expected, as well as a couple of skits from the Carol Burnett Show, and a group entitled “Girls’ Night Out” performing a dance that you don’t want to miss. The Tonsil Clackers, a barbershop quartet, are scheduled for 2:00 pm only, and their slot will be filled by Russ Hawkins, a singer, in the 7:00 pm show. Russ will be singing some unforgettable songs, including “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables. Several Delphi Community High School students are performing in this show and a mini-group from a popular local band, HHR, will be playing a few songs.
A special thanks to director Nancy Fowler and assistant directors Kayla Haley and Kate Layman, as well as the Delphi Community School Corporation and Deiwert Insurance Agency.
Tickets are being sold at the door: $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children under five get in free.
