A Haunted House 2 starts up right where the previous A Haunted House left off with Malcom (Marlon Wayans) attempting to ditch the body of his possesed girlfriend Kisha (Essence Atkins) after an unsuccessful exorcism. After the events of the first Haunted House seemingly die down, Malcom is back on the path to ruin again with his new girlfriend Megan (Jaime Pressly) and her two kids. Upon entering his newly purchased home, Malcom begins experiencing weird things and the random comedic pop ups start up immediately.
Along with the constant threat from the supernatural presence in his home, Malcom also has to deal with an extremely jealous and controlling doll that becomes permanently attracted to him after an intense and disturbing scene. The movie attempts to make fun of many different horror films, so the storyline at its best is hard to follow.
While trying to deal with his new porcelain stalker, Malcom also tries to win over the hearts of his new children, but when he finds that the son has a drunk ghost for a friend and the daughter acquires a box with an evil soul encased in it, Malcom starts to feel the wear and tear of protecting a family. Malcom unfortunately never recovers from these mental and physical bashings and soon begins breaking down, which only gets more intense as the movie’s shenanigans get worse and worse through the continuously strange story right up to the less than satisfying end.
