Ever since I was a boy, countless rumors were around about the next generation Xbox. The Xbox 360 came out when I was in 6th grade, and due to my human nature, I have craved the newest model of Microsoft’s beautiful creation since that day. After what seemed like an eternity of wait, the release of the Xbox One, the newest Xbox console, is upon us.
Microsoft has given the Xbox One 8GB of DDR3 RAM, which has a 68.3GB/s memory bandwidth, along with 32MB of embedded ESRAM. This faster memory has a theoretical memory bandwidth of 192GB/s, which will enable the Xbox One to compute with the fastest speeds of a console ever. Since that probably didn’t make sense to you, it means the Xbox will have really good computing speeds and be extremely fast, which is good.
Alongside all the technical stuff with the Xbox comes some pretty awesome release date games. Personally, I am getting Battlefield 4 and Dead Rising 3, but there are many others that look pretty much amazing due to the stellar graphics that the new system brings. I think it is going to be awesome to see these new sequels of games redesigned for this new system, and I really can’t wait to see how amazing it is going to look.
I mean, yeah, it comes out on a Friday, Nov. 22, so I may not make it to school that day, but other than that, I fail to see anything holding it back from being perfect. I really plan on donating a lot of time to the system, playing with a plethora of my friends and utilizing many of the new, cool features, such as the free Netflix with a gold subscription. Of course I have it preordered, and of course it took a dent out of my wallet, but I definitely believe that it is worth the $499 that it cost me. I can only imagine the great times my friends and I will be able to share due to Microsoft’s beautiful invention.
