The government is back in action, but just what did they agree on? Well, not a whole lot. Congress has voted to temporarily raise the debt ceiling until Feb. 7, and they have agreed to continue funding the government until Jan. 15. This means that the government will continue to function until January when we could possibly face a second shutdown. As of now, all government facilities are functioning and the country is running fairly smoothly. Unfortunately, the unwillingness of congress to agree on virtually any issue caused this crisis. We will see if they can put aside their differences in the coming months and formulate a new revised budget.
