Most anticipated book releases this fall

Fall is debatably the best season. There is nothing better than sweatshirt weather, the crisp air, apple cider, and curling up with a good read. Not to mention the new books that come out during this time. Here are some of the most anticipated releases this fall. 

 

Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing is a memoir by Mathew Perry, better known as Chandler from Friends. The reflection is set to be released Nov. 1. Perry wrote about his childhood, TV career, struggles with addiction, and the path to sobriety. We can expect the author’s signature humor and warmth that is sure to make this a great read. 

 

YA True Crime Queen Karen M McManus has her newest book coming out Sept. 21, 2022. Nothing More to Tell is a stand alone murdur mystery novel. The novel follows the main character Brynn, who left Saint Ambrose School after the murder of her favorite teacher. The case was never solved. She suspects that the kids who found the body know more than they are telling, especially her ex-best friend. When Brynn gets an internship working on a popular true-crime show, she begins to investigate what really happened. The further she gets into the investigation, the more secrets she finds. For years someone got away with murder, now it’s time to uncover the truth. 

 

Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco is being released Sept. 27, 2022. This will be the third book in her Kingdom of the Wicked series. After Emilia discovered that her twin sister was alive, she has been reeling. Now it’s time to face demons from her past. When a high-ranking member of House Greed is assassinated, Emilia and Wrath are drawn to the rival demon court. After her sister is accused of being the murderer, Emilia will do anything to solve the new mystery and find out who her sister really is. Emilia was warned that when it came to the Wicked, nothing was as it seemed. 

 

The First to Die at the End by Adam Silvera is going to be released Oct. 4 and will be the prequel to They Both Die at the End. It’s the night before Death-Cast goes live. Everyone is wondering the same thing: is this all just a hoax or can it accurately predict when someone will die? Both Valentino and Orion, who has waited for years for someone to tell him he was going to die due to his heart condition, have signed up for Death-Cast. When one of them receives a call and the other doesn’t, their lives are forever changed. No matter how it ends, they want to spend their last day together. 

 

Whiteout by Nicola Yoon, Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, and Ashely Woodfolk is expected to come out Nov. 8, 2022. Atlanta is covered with snow just before Christmas. As the city comes to a halt, twelve teens band together to help a friend pull off the most epic apology of her life. No one is prepared for this whiteout. But then again, you can’t always prepare for the magical moments that change everything. 

 

So be sure to grab your fuzzy blankets and a coffee drink of your choice and spend your fall sitting on the front porch reading some of these great upcoming releases!
