Shout-out: Spring Break

Graphic by Grace O’Neil

The weather is warming up and the days are getting longer, and spring break is right around the corner. Many students and staff members have plans at home, locally, or at exotic places around the world. Here is a peek into a few of the upcoming adventures.

Mr. Painter, DCHS Algebra 2 teacher, is “traveling to wherever Purdue goes in the NCAA tourney! (unless it is the west coast).”

Gabby Bruestle, DCHS junior, is visiting the dolphins in Florida.

Mr. Dale, DCHS athletic director, will be on Myrtle Beach with his kids over spring break.

Maguire Thompson, DCHS junior, is “going to North Carolina to check out that area, visit a mega church, and tour colleges.”

Mrs. Carpenter, physical education teacher, is visiting her daughter in the Big Apple.

Mr. Reich, DCHS chemistry teacher, has a unique spring break planned: “I plan on coming to DCHS each day at 7:30 am and crying when no students show up.  Or I will be going on a cruise – and not bringing COVID back as a souvenir.”

Whether you plan on staying at home, visiting family, or going on a memorable family trip, remember to enjoy the change of pace and create some memories along the way.
