Beating the Monday blues 101
Monday has to be the worst day of the week; I think we can all agree to that. Follow my tips to cure your Monday blues. (Also applicable if you’re just having a bad day.)
- Look good, feel good . . . or don’t. If you’re just prepared for a day of grief, dress up a little more than usual. They always say if you look good you feel good. Or if you deal with grief days the opposite way, then chill out in your sweatpants and be happy with it. No judgment. Everyone has their days.
- Pet Pick’s dog. Mrs. Pickering just added her furry friend to her family: an English Mastiff puppy. It’s the perfect remedy for a bad day. That is unless you hate dogs, and in that case you deserve the day you’re having.
- Color. Seriously, though, cave into the trend that is adult coloring. It is honestly such a stress-reliever and takes your focus away from anything that’s occupying your mind. Plus you get a pretty picture in the end that your mommy can put up on the fridge at home.
- Hit up Mood Booster radio on Spotify. I don’t know how anyone can be in a bad mood after having upbeat tunes blasting in their ear canals.
- Read. Even if you don’t especially like to read, do it anyway. Reading helps you escape from any bad day that you could possibly be having.
- Watch a drama. What could make you feel better more than watching other people have a worse day than you? At least that’s how some people do it anyway . . .
I hope your day gets better! Or if it doesn’t, at least now you’ve got the ammunition for how to approach it.
