Identify yourself with a personality type test
You know you are weird. We know you are weird. But, did you know that you can pinpoint what makes you weird? By taking a test that asks you all sorts of questions about yourself, you can reveal four letters that will be hauntingly familiar.
There are 16 different personality types which are all variations of two letters in four columns. The first column is how you are energized. Are you energized by being alone or being around people, introvert (I) or an extrovert (E)? The second is how you prefer to take in information, through sensing (S) or intuition (I). Third is how you prefer to make decisions: feeling (F) or thinking (T). The fourth column represents how you prefer to live your outer life: judging (J) or perceiving (P).
Upon identifying your personalized type, the fun comes rushing in. Researching what traits are represented by your type can be enlightening. Many people live their lives and have no way of explaining why they do the things they do, or why they feel the way they feel.
English teacher, Mrs. Kreiling has been working with her students on a paper over their personality types. This assignment has proven to be a student favorite because, as Mrs. Kreiling said, “This isn’t just an assignment where you research an arbitrary subject and write a paper about it. You’re actually researching and learning about yourself.”
Senior Colin Edging said, “I haven’t been excited about an assignment in a really long time. This one is different though because I love to do the research for it. Every time I open a book and look at my type, the description of me is spot-on.”
For me, the discovery of my personality type was refreshing. I have always felt slightly out of place; through research I learned that my personality type consumes only 4% of the population. I learned that it is typical for my personality type to be writers or use other methods to let their creativity escape, like dance or music.
