Purdue takes a step forward
On Sunday, Oct. 16, Purdue football took a step forward for the program by firing head coach Darrell Hazell. Though he did not have the resources many Power Five programs have, as the coaching staffs pay was near the bottom of any major conference team, that does not change the fact that he was 9-33 in the three years he spent as the head coach at Purdue. His Big 10 record was just as bad, going 3-24, and never winning consecutive games. The university has indicated that they will not be afraid to spend money on their next coach, looking to make a splash in the world of college football.
