Starting last Saturday, America has been hit with an arctic blast that has brought freezing temperatures such as -50 F in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Several other states had been reported with various amounts of snow with winter storms slamming southern states such as Florida, Louisiana, and Texas, but they were nothing compared to those deadly cold temperatures
#5 – February 2, 1996- St. Louis County, Minnesota with a temperature of -60 F.
#4 – February 2nd, 1985 – Maybell, Colorado with a low temperature of -61 degrees F. Coldest it has ever been in that state to date.
#3 – February 9th, 1933 – Riverside Ranger Station, Wyoming in Yellowstone experienced a chilling -66 F temperature the coldest temperature recorded in the state’s history.
#2 – January 20th, 1954 – Roger’s Pass, Montana with a temperature of -70 F. Coldest for the state.
#1 – January 23rd, 1971 – Prospect Creek Camp, Alaska with the coldest temperature in US history of -80 degrees F.
