Recap of swim rivalry and conference

Wednesday, Jan. 18, the Oracle swim team had a meet against the Carroll Cougars in the fourth Fish Bowl, the swim equivalent to the Bacon Bowl rivalry game. Since the creation of the Fish Bowl, the two fish cup trophies have spent more time at Delphi than at Carroll. The boys won the rivalry for the fourth year in a row, and the girls won for the second year in a row. At the conference meet, the girls team was unable to hold on to its conference title, placing second, but junior Eydie Brustle did set a conference meet record in the 100 backstroke. The boys team also placed second in conference, finishing six points behind Clinton Central.
