Oracle swim teams start season with wins and records

The Oracle boys and girls swim teams started off their season last Wednesday with a double dual meet against South Newton and Central Catholic. Both Oracle teams were victorious and won a majority of the events for the night as well. Junior Eydie Brustle started off the season with a school record-breaking swim of the 100 yard butterfly, swimming it two hundredths of a second faster than the previous record. The boys team was thrilled to have its first diving performance in several years, thanks to junior Diego Nieves. The coaches also announced the first swimmer/diver of the meet awards, going to Diego Nieves and sophomore Rebecca Kelly.
