All about our diesel mechanics class
A new addition to the course offerings at DCHS is diesel mechanics class. Currently there are 8 students in the class who get authentic, hands-on experience daily. In the class students “learn about diesel engines, like how they work and how they are made.” According to instructor Mr. Henry Totton, “So far in class, the students have taken one engine apart and are currently putting it back together to see if it will run again.” Students also get valuable experience by helping maintain the corporation’s school buses.
