In or out?

Before picking my outfit for the school day, I often question if I’m dressing too dark for the season or my mood. Is black on black seen as a classic, clean appearance, or depressing and bland? If you are going for a more clean look, black on black is a great way to achieve that. I feel that it gives a more professional appeal with the correct style and type of clothes. A black pantsuit would look more put together compared to an all black sweatsuit. I think it is all about the way you style the articles. For example, if you were to throw in a small statement piece or pop of color, you could make the black on black look a bit more intentional. This could include various pieces of bright jewelry, or even just basic accessorizing might pull the outfit together. Often unique shoes with different colors match well with plain outfits because you want to draw attention to the more flashy things.
