Poetry Slam

To celebrate National Poetry Month, the LMC hosted its second annual Poetry Slam on Thursday, April 28. Whether spectating or reading an original poem or one written by someone else, all students and faculty were welcome for a night of poetry appreciation. Fourteen people attended: two staff members, one parent, one alumnus, and ten students all gathered for a night of poetry appreciation. Food and drinks were available throughout the night, and the Java Connection was open with drinks on the house. DCHS librarian, Mrs. Tonsoni, said, “It’s a special night. We have some very talented students and all who attended enjoyed the poetry and the camaraderie.”
