  • What is something you do that you don’t like to do?
  • I don’t love doing dishes and laundry (but does anyone?)! I enjoy time outside, watching my kids in action at sporting events, and after a busy week, a nap! I have to remind myself to keep things in perspective: someday, I will have all the time in the world. It’s worth the sacrifice and the busy and ugly moments to be able to be at my kids’ events. I only have them for so long . . .

  • How are you able to use your skills to design decor for your home?
  • When people come into my house, I want them to feel like they are at home. I would call the style of decor in my house “Primitive Country.” My favorite pieces in my house are my kitchen island and table. I was able to have the island custom-made and I got to work with my Dad to create a kitchen table to match! They both have hand-punched dates and initials of important individuals and dates in the life of my family. It’s been so rewarding making my house a home because my dad and I get to spend time and create items together. Being able to design things in the Print Shop is an added perk!

  • Is there anything that you have a desire to learn about but don’t have the time right now to study about it?
  • My family history! I find it fascinating. Someday, I will be able to devote more time to it. But for right now, I love sitting with my dad and seeing how far back we can go into our family’s rich and crazy history.

  • What teen fashion trend needs to end now?
  • It’s funny to see that the fashion trends just continue to rotate from the past! Clothing that I used to wear is coming back in style. I guess I wonder why some people pay full price for half of a shirt? And the bikinis that are no longer covering the rear ends . . . let’s just say that I am personally not a fan!

  • What are your hopes for this season of Delphi softball?
  • Softball is a game that comes with so many life lessons and character building opportunities. And oh man, do I have some high hopes for these ladies on and off the field! They are a great group of girls . . . each one has so much potential in all aspects of life. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching them play softball, but what I love even more is watching these players grow as individuals. They’re able to learn that they are in control of their actions and can achieve anything they set their minds to. In the course of a season, their confidence, self esteem, and character change so much. That’s what makes coaching so rewarding . . . watching them play the sport is a bonus!

  • BONUS: If you were in the witness protection program, what would be your new name and where would you go?

My name would be Regina Phalange (just like Phoebe from Friends, my favorite TV show), and wherever I go, I just want my husband and kids with me. Living on a beach somewhere wouldn’t be bad!
