DCHS is proud to announce the addition of a new club. Gender and Sexualities Alliance (GSA) just started this year with its sponsor, Mr. Gaspar. Mr. Gaspar attended a conference in the summer of 2018 that examined the benefits of incorporating a GSA in schools. “I was definitely supportive of DCHS having such a club. Within the last year, multiple students confronted me about their interest in starting a GSA, and we have finally begun to set things in motion. The goals of the club are to create and foster inclusivity, support, and acceptance of ALL individuals in our school community, but specifically those who identify as LGBTQ+,” Mr. Gaspar explained. They will likely have a club president, but haven’t gotten that far along yet. They meet the first Monday of each month after school at 3:30 PM in Mr. Gaspar’s room.
