Eliot Rosewater book review: The Rest of the Story
The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen is yet another one of this year’s Rosies. The story follows main character Emma Saylor who has to spend the summer at Lake North with her late mother’s family that she hasn’t seen in many years. Emma is dreading the stay, but as the summer progresses she is reunited with cousins, aunts and uncles, and old friends as well as new friends. She learns to like her middle name, Saylor, and appreciate her past, as well as form connections with her mom’s ghost. Despite the plot jumping back and forth causing confusion at times, it was still an enjoyable read overall.
