Senior Spotlight: Ava Charnley

This week’s senior spotlight features club enthusiast, Ava Charnley.  Ava participates in Drama Club and Parnassus, is the president of NHS, secretary of French Club, and the co-president of the Creative Writing Club.  The club that keeps her most busy is Drama Club. Ava’s first appearance on stage was the Music Man her freshman year when she was dragged in by her friends and found it as a way to express herself. Since then she has had roles in Mary Poppins, High School Musical, Anne of Green Gables, and It’s a Wonderful Life. When asked if she could have any role in any musical or film, Ava said her dream role would be Belle from Beauty and the Beast. As far as why she is so involved, she said, “I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself and I wanted to help the community the best I could. Being in leadership roles in these clubs allows me to do both of those things.”  Ava will look to bond with friends and help the community even more as the year goes on.
