Board game club

Board game club had its first meeting after school on Wednesday, Sept. 8. The club meets every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. with Mr. Gaspar as the sponsor. Games are provided and include trivia games, party games, tabletop skirmish, and card games. When asked what his goal for the club was, Mr. Gaspar explained, “The point is to just have a time each week when we can unplug, have fun, and hopefully exercise some critical thinking skills.” There is a $10 membership fee for the school year, but students can attend two meetings before committing. Members are not required to attend every meeting, but Mr. Gaspar asks for advanced notice whether or not students will be attending. This lets Mr. Gaspar know how many and what type of games to bring each week.
