Last year, the Oracle football team graduated record-setting kicker Gavin Gleason and all conference running back Evan Fritz, along with several other key players. This season the Oracles will look to junior quarterback Cade Nelson to fill the double-duty roles of place kicker and quarterback, and senior Tristan Isley to lead the team from the backfield. Tristan Isley said, “We just need to keep working to get better every day and improve how we play our game of football.” The Oracles got off to a good start by beating Benton Central 12-2 in the home opener before falling to rival Carroll 9-0. Second year head coach Jacob Mrozkiewicz led a strong offseason and the Oracles will only continue to improve as the season progresses.
