Weekly fashion tip: layering

With fall coming upon us we have to transition from our summer wardrobe to winter. This in-between phase can stump a lot of people, especially due to the fluctuating weather that Indiana serves us. My tip is layering. This fashion trick is made for those who are always cold. The trick is finding complementary colors. Layering is used with all styles ranging from street style to chic. If you are looking for a more casual look, then a solid long sleeve underneath a graphic tee is an easy go-to. If you are feeling more ambitious, a neutral striped shirt will make your outfit pop. If you enjoy more formal attire, then a solid but textured top over a tank top or a dress. Another form of layering is adding a jean jacket over a shirt to add some warmth. The best way to externally layer is to focus on the silhouette. Finding a cropped jacket or one that is tapered in at the waist allows you to create an hourglass silhouette.
