Girls’ basketball marks the start of the winter season

The girls’ basketball season is in full swing, just as all the other winter sports are only starting. In their first game of the season, they beat West Central 54-42. Haley Nelson led all scorers with 18 points, while Jordyn Gasser added eight steals. On Nov. 15, the Oracles pulled out a fourth quarter comeback, beating Rossville 37-35. Lillie Smith led Delphi with 11 points. Lastly, on Saturday the Lady Oracles lost to Twin Lakes 46-31. Even though they amassed 15 steals, they could not overcome their foe. A start of 2-1 is solid and they will be sure to pick up more wins throughout the season.
