FFA’s community garden wraps up second year of production
The FFA’s community garden has officially wrapped up business for the year, as they tilled the garden and spread compost on it this past week. In its second year, the garden totaled 1,771 pounds of produce. This is 63 more pounds than last year’s total of 1,708, bringing the total amount of food to a whopping 3,479 pounds, all of which has been generously donated to the local food bank. The produce consists of yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, cabbage, and tomatoes. The club also grew pumpkins, which are used for the annual Pumpkin Patch event with the kindergarten.
