Appreciation for our marching band

The marching band, though at all of our home football games, tends to get underappreciated despite much hard work on their part. Senior band member Aden Sinks explained that over the summer the band had two hour rehearsals twice a week, and they participated in band camp, a week of learning music, drills and having fun. Once school starts, there are 1 or 2 rehearsals a week as well.

This year’s marching band is excited about the addition of several new color guard members and middle school participants. They have done an amazing job this year at home games and Purdue Band Day. With football season coming to a close in the upcoming month, they will turn their attention to serving as the pep band during home basketball games.
