Last year, the Spanish Club was able to try different food from Spanish speaking countries, such as crickets from Peru.

Spanish Club

Señora Hollingsworth leads the Spanish Club, which meets to learn about Spanish culture outside of the classroom. “We get to do the things that we can’t take the time to do inside of class,” says Señora. “We celebrate Hispanic holidays, do crafts, sample food, and have gone to see movies and eat at restaurants.” In previous years, the members of Spanish Club have gotten to try grasshoppers and guinea pig, had the chance to make piñatas, and went to see the movie Coco in theaters. Spanish Club is available for students who are taking or have finished taking any Spanish class.
